This Sunday at MortonMania II, we sat down with the School of Morton's Commissioner, Bobby Branham. Commissioner Branham went into detail on how he and Ricky Morton were able to regain control of the SOM from Judas the Mad Hatter. This is not a story you want to miss!
Q: Several months ago, Judas the Mad Hatter announced that by purchasing the deed to the building known as the School of Morton, that he had the right to run the SOM as he saw fit. Ricky Morton and yourself had little choice but to comply with his demands. How does it feel to once again have power here in the SOM? A: It feels great. As you said, Ricky and I didn't have much of a choice when it came to doing what Judas said. Basically, we were told that we could do things his way, or the SOM would cease to exist. Obviously, we couldn't waste all of the hard work that Ricky Morton has put into the SOM. So, for the last few months, Judas has been controlling everything that goes on at the SOM. I can honestly say that these have been the worst few months of my life, and if Ricky Morton was here, I think he would say the same thing. Today, it feels great to finally be able to say that Judas the Mad Hatter will no longer be in control of the School of Morton. Q: At MortonMania II, Judas the Mad Hatter was nowhere to be seen. Do you know why? A: Several months ago, before Judas gained control, he was serving an indefinite suspension. Myself and Ricky decided that our first action once we regained control of the SOM would be to once again suspend Judas the Mad Hatter. Q: We've been reporting updates on the power struggle between Judas the Mad Hatter and Ricky Morton over the last few months. How exactly did you force Judas out of power? A: As you know, our legal team has been working non-stop. While everyone knew that what Judas was doing was wrong, we couldn't prove that he'd done anything illegal. After looking over financial documents, we discovered that if we took this to court, what Judas the Mad Hatter was doing could be considered embezzlement. Q: How exactly was Judas the Mad Hatter embezzling money from the SOM? A: Judas is under contract with the SOM as a performer. Under normal circumstances, his only role in the SOM would be to manage his clients. That is what he is paid to do. The contract that both Judas the Mad Hatter and Ricky Morton signed states that while Judas is contracted as a performer, he is unable to be paid for any other type of role he plays in the SOM. The profits of the shows we run at the SOM and other local venues go back into the SOM. However, while Judas the Mad Hatter was the man handling the money, not only were wrestlers underpaid, but money that would have otherwise went into the School of Morton was pocketed by Judas. He was also being paid his normal salary as a performer. Since Judas was taking money from multiple sources, several of which he was not legally allowed to, what he was doing could be considered embezzlement if this case was taken to court. Q: Will this case be taken to court? A: As of now, no. The threat of legal action was what made Judas sign the lease on the SOM back into Ricky Morton's name. The money stolen by Judas will be considered payment for signing the lease to Ricky's name again. However, if Judas decides to return to the SOM before his indefinite suspension has been lifted, he has been warned that legal action will be pursued. Q: Do you have any idea when his suspension may be lifted? A: I do not. I can't even promise that the suspension will be lifted. Ricky and I feel that Judas should not be able to walk through the doors of the SOM again until we feel that he has changed for the better. Judas has promised that he will change his ways, but we all know how trustworthy he is when he makes a promise. I understand that while Judas was serving his original suspension, he was under the care of Dr. Louise Titwillow, a local psychologist in his hometown of Hollywood, Alabama. Judas also promised that he would begin consulting Dr. Titwillow again. We have spoken with Dr. Titwillow, and she plans to keep us updated on his progress. Commissioner Bobby Branham began MortonMania II by making an announcement that the SOM fans found shocking and relieving: Judas the Mad Hatter is no longer in control of the School of Morton. Apparently, the SOM's legal team found some sort of loophole that forced Judas to relinquish control of the SOM. We sat down with Commissioner Branham to go into further detail. The interview will be published later this week.

Whether you're a long-time fan or have only recently began keeping up with the School of Morton, you know that the multiple members of the Dooley Family have played a major role in the SOM's history. Today, we are going to take a look at the history of the entire Dooley family (even Grandma Dooley) in the SOM.
Rickey Dooley made his SOM debut at A New Era in 2015 during the tournament to crown the first even East Tennessee Champion. At this point in time, Rickey didn't want to display his southern roots and adopted the name Rick Razor. Needless to say, Rick Razor did not have very much success. It wasn't until Fair Warning 2015, when Rickey embraced his heritage, that the fans of the SOM started to love him like they do today. Rickey, now wrestling under his real name, stood side by side with his brother, Buster, and half-brother, Brian, as they made their SOM debuts. While the Dooley Brothers were unable to defeat the Sultans of Dubai that night, they were able to capture the adoration of the SOM fans. In October of 2015 at the Last Battle of the Expresses, it seemed as if their was some trouble in the Dooley Family. After the Dooley Brothers lost to the Heatseekers and Boz in a six-man tag team match, Brian Dooley walked out on his family. Over the next several months, Rickey Dooley had to control the disagreements between Buster and Brian. Therefore, neither of the three men were able to fully concentrate on their matches. Just when it seemed that the Dooley Brothers had hit rock bottom, things got even worse. A cousin of the Dooley family, Randy Roberts had recently made his SOM debut. He convinced Brian to walk out on his brothers once and for all. Brian then adopted the name Brian Jeffries and aligned himself with Randy Roberts in order to try to end the SOM careers of his brothers once and for all. The matches between the two teams were some of the most brutal in the history of the SOM. At one point, Grandma Dooley, whose teeth fell out of her mouth while she was entering the ring, even jumped into the ring in an attempt to stop the madness. After several months of fighting with Roberts and Jeffries, the Rickey and Buster Dooley finally came out on top. However, their victory came at a price. Buster was injured and was forced to leave the SOM for several months, Roberts and Jeffries both left the SOM shortly after. Rickey Dooley was the only member of the Dooley family left in the SOM. During this time, Rickey Dooley was very successful. He took part in another brutal feud with Draco over the X Division Title. He was even the X Division Champion for a brief period of time. However, no matter how much success he achieved, it wasn't the same without his brothers by his side. It seemed as if there wouldn't be much of a Dooley family legacy at the SOM. That all changed in October of 2016. Buster Dooley made his return to team with Hank "The Machine" Miller to take on BTSG and the "Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau. Danny Dooley, Rickey and Buster's younger brother, also made his debut. Brian Jeffries also returned with a new tag team partner, Sir Derek Williams, to try to finish what he had started about a year ago. Currently, Jeffries and Williams are still going to war with the Buster and Danny Dooley. While Buster and Danny have focused on the tag team scene, Rickey has traded the East Tennessee Title with the Sultan several times. Since the Dooley Brothers began competing in an SOM ring together again, the fans of the SOM have began to love them even more than they had before. In honor of the Dooley Brothers, we interviewed several SOM personalities to get their thoughts on the SOM's favorite family. Ricky Morton: I love the Dooley Brothers! Here at the School of Morton, we train people to achieve their dreams and that's exactly what they're doing. The people love watching the Dooley Brothers wrestle. It's amazing! Judas the Mad Hatter: Why would you ask me my thoughts on the Dooley family? I would hope that at this point, you could see that me and my men, the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Club, Brian Jeffries and Sir Derek Williams, hate those stupid hillbillies! Instead of asking me how we feel about those incestuous freaks, why don't you ask us how it's going to feel once we beat the Dooley Brothers and B.B. Inc. to become the East Tennessee Tag Team Champions? Maverick: I don't like them, but the Dooley Brothers have proved that they know what they're doing in the ring. They're still not as good me though. So instead of wasting everybody's time talking about the Dooley Brothers, I would like to remind everyone that I am the SOMWA Champion and that I am the whole show! The interviews didn't exactly go as planned, but you get the point that we're trying to make. The Dooley Brothers have been a huge part of the School of Morton's history. Maybe in the future, we'll see some more members of the Dooley family step into an SOM ring. Maybe Rickey, Danny, and Buster have another brother. Maybe one of their younger cousins can take on Gabezilla for the SOM Youth Championship. We've even heard that Grandma Dooley throws one heck of a punch! We don't know what the future holds for the Dooley family, but one thing is for sure. The SOM fans will always have a special place in their heart for Chuckey, Tennessee's only wrestling family.
You can see live SOM action at North Greene High School on April 18th and at the School of Morton on April 9th! Stay tuned to SOM TV for more details. When one thinks of dominance in the School of Morton, the Sultan has to come to mind. For almost two years, he has proved to be the most dominant force in the SOM. Here is a look at the monster known as the Sultan.
Hailing from Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, the Sultan first arrived at the School of Morton in August of 2015 at Turning Point in the East Tennessee Tag Team Title Tournament. Along with his manager at the time, Prince Midas, the Sultan debuted at the School of Morton. In his debut match, he teamed with his partner at the time, Sultan #2, as the Sultans of Dubai. In the match, the Sultans took on Flash Nash and Dee Griffin, the USA Express. While the Sultans did not win the match, they did prove that they would be a force to be reckoned with. After several months of dominating the SOM tag team division, the Sultans seemed to be having issues. This was attributed to their current manager, Prince Midas. The Arabian family who had sent Prince Midas to America replaced him with another family member, Prince Malik. On their first night under Malik's guidance, the Sultans defeated the USA Express to capture the East Tennessee Tag Team Titles. The Sultans would hold the East Tennessee Tag Team Titles for several months until being defeated by Rickey and Buster Dooley in January of 2016 at Winter Warfare. From that point forward, the team would try to reclaim the success that they once had, but continuously failed. In April of 2016, at MortonMania in Rogersville, Tennessee, the Sultan and Prince Malik made the announcement that from that point forward, there would only be one Sultan, and he was coming for the East Tennessee Title. Their promise would soon come true when the Sultan defeated Jerry Sampson to become the new East Tennessee Champion. After the brutal and devastating loss, Sampson never showed his face in the SOM again. After winning the East Tennessee Title, the Sultan ditched Prince Malik in favor of the true Manager of Champions, Judas the Mad Hatter. After becoming the East Tennessee Champion, the Sultan would go on to defeat several top SOM wrestlers such as Bryan Montgomery, Marty O'Brian, Rickey Dooley, and "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau. In his match with Robert Laveau, his relationship with Judas the Mad Hatter would come to an end when Judas attacked the Sultan in favor of his other client, Laveau. After his managerial relationship with Judas ended, the Sultan's contract was bought by General Kazimir, who remains to serve as the Sultan's manager today. In December of 2016, the Sultan lost the East Tennessee Title to Rickey Dooley. At New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, in January of 2017, the Sultan stormed the ring to attack Rickey Dooley and Robert Laveau. Two East Tennessee Title rematches were set up. The Sultan will face Rickey Dooley this Saturday (January 21st, 2017) in Rogersville, Tennessee, and on February 12th in Chuckey, Tennessee in a Devil's Playground Match. Throughout the Sultan's career in the School of Morton, he has remained one of the most hated wrestlers. Even though the SOM fans have been terrorized by the Sultan and any combination of his various managers and partners, they have to admit that he very well may be the most dangerous man to ever step through the ropes of a SOM ring. Only time will tell what is coming in the future for the Sultan, but we can say that the future does not look very bright for anyone who steps into the ring with him. Today, we were sent an e-mail which contained what is allegedly an official statement on behalf of BB Inc. A transcript of the contents of the statement is located below.
"It appears that everyone wants to know why we attacked Draco at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune and came together to form Bad Boys Incorporated, so we are going to tell you exactly why. We were sick and tired of being held down at the School of Morton. For months upon months, we were stuck in the same matches. We thought that it was only because Bobby Branham didn't know anything about running the SOM, but then Judas the Mad Hatter took over and it still continued. We realized that they only way we could ever get the opportunities that we deserve would be to take them ourselves. Right now, everyone is debating about whether Ricky Morton controls the SOM or if Judas the Mad Hatter controls the SOM. As far as we're concerned, neither one of them run this place, because we're taking over." Before, the thoughts of what BB Inc. could do were scary. Now that we know what they plan on doing, it seems even scarier. While we still don't have a lot of information on the matter, we do at least know what the goals of BB Inc. are and why BB Inc. was formed. We have reached out to BB Inc. in hopes of an interview, where they would go into further detail. Stay tuned to this website and our FaceBook page for details regarding the interview. You will be able to see BB Inc. in action at SOM live events on January 21st in Erwin, Tennessee, and February 5th in Chuckey, Tennessee. We have been told that we will receive more answers about BB Inc. at some point on our new internet series, SOM TV. The first episode is available now on our YouTube channel (Ricky Morton). Ladies and gentlemen, the first ever edition of School of Morton Television is now available! It can be accessed through our Facebook page (School of Morton) and YouTube channel (Ricky Morton). Don't forget about our upcoming shows on January 21st in Erwin, Tennessee, and February 5th in Chuckey, Tennessee, where you can see all of the wrestlers featured on SOM TV. Last Sunday at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, the foundation of the School of Morton was changed. There is a new thorn in Ricky Morton's side and it appears that it won't be going away any time soon. Four of the SOM's top wrestlers have banded together and it looks as if the results may be catastrophic. We still have little information, but we have spent the last several days since New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune compiling all the information we can. Here is all of the information that we have gathered so far on Bad Boys Incorporated (BB Inc.).
It all began in April of 2016 at Spring Break: Mullets Gone Wild. The Dooley Brothers, Rickey and Buster, were the East Tennessee Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, due to injury, Buster was forced to pull out of several title defenses. Therefore, the Dooley Brothers were stripped of their titles. In order to crown new East Tennessee Tag Team Champions, School of Morton Commissioner Bobby Branham called the four teams able to compete to the ring. The names of two tag teams would be randomly drawn. The two tag teams whose names were drawn would compete for the vacant East Tennessee Tag Team Titles later in the night. The two teams picked were two of the SOM's most popular teams, the Cross Brothers and the Castro Brothers. The Castro Brothers won the match and the East Tennessee Tag Team Titles. Post-match, Judas the Mad Hatter and Draco walked to the ring, interrupting the celebration. It appeared as if both teams were about to send Judas and Draco back to the locker room. Suddenly, the unthinkable happened. John and Jeff Castro viciously attacked the Cross Brothers, joining Draco to form Los Chicanos. From that point forward, the Cross Brothers and the Castro Brothers would engage in one of the most heated rivalries in SOM history. It seemed like the Castro Brothers would always have an advantage over the Cross Brothers due to interference from Draco and Judas. However, that would all change when Judas the Mad Hatter was suspended for several months. To say that there were problems in Los Chicanos from that point forward would be an understatement. It seemed like every time John Castro and Draco were near each other, an argument or fight would take place. It all culminated last December at Christmas Krunch II. Draco came to ringside for the match between the Castro Brothers and the Cross Brothers. Pre-match, John Castro pulled out a chair at ringside and demanded that Draco sit down and stay there. Jeff Castro had to jump out of the ring and get between the two men to stop a fight from occuring. The match started, and it looked as if the problems in Los Chicanos were over for the time being. However, the match soon spilled to ringside, where another dispute between John Castro and Draco took place. Jeff Castro was too busy in the ring to stop a fight this time. Castro and Draco fought to the locker room, leaving Jeff Castro in the ring with both Cross Brothers. Though he fought valiantly, he was unable to defeat both men on his own. That night, the East Tennessee Tag Team Title reign of the Castro Brothers, and Los Chicanos, ended. At that point, Jeff Castro decided that he couldn't trust his brother to take part in their rematch with the Cross Brothers. He announced that he would have a new partner, who would be revealed at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune. When it came time for the match at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, Castro's partner was nowhere in sight. Both Cross Brothers and Castro were in the ring, so the referee ordered them to begin the match. Then, it was revealed that Aden Cross was Castro's partner, and had turned his back on his own brother. Christian Cross, due to not wanting to fight his own brother, layed down and purposely lost the match. That night, a match was also scheduled between former Los Chicanos member Draco and Christian Taylor for the X Division Title. However, Taylor was unable to make it to the event. This prompted Draco to make an open challenge to any wrestler in the locker room. The challenge was accepted by Christian Cross. Right before the match started, John Castro came to ringside. He eventually cost Draco the match and the X Division Title. Post-match, Castro and the new X-Division Champion attacked Draco. At that point, new East Tennessee Tag Team Champions Aden Cross and Jeff Castro ran to the ring. At first it seemed like they were going to save Draco, but then they joined in on the attack. They then declared that they were tired of being held down by Ricky Morton and were taking over the SOM, and it appears that they might just do it. At this point, this is all we know about BB Inc. We have reached out to them for a statement and hope that they will respond. If they do respond, a transcript of their statement will be published here. Make sure to continue checking this website and our Facebook page for updates. On January 21st, you will be able to see BB Inc. and all of your other favorite School of Morton wrestlers at the Erwin, Tennessee National Guard Armory. We have been told that an update on BB Inc.'s plans in the SOM will be provided there. In a previous article, we promised that the School of Morton's 2017 would start off with a bang. After seeing the events that took place at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, it has become clear that we should have said that 2017 would start off with a nuclear explosion! While we are still unsure of exactly what happened, we will reveal what little details that we do know:
Chris Jackson and Jake Miller defeated BTSG and Barrett Stout It appeared that Chris Jackson hit Barrett Stout with some kind of foreign object, possibly a chain. The referee did not see the illegal maneuver because he was distracted trying to seperate Jake Miller and BTSG, who were fighting at ringside. Elliott Russell w/Gabezilla defeated Hank "The Machine" Miller In a very even, back-and-forth match, Elliott Russell defeated Hank Miller. After the match, in a sign of respect, Russell and Miller shook hands. The Sultan w/General Kazimir defeated The Scorpion It appears that the Scorpion has embraced a new attitude and outlook. We are not sure how to describe it, but we know that it didn't help him very much. The Sultan, in record time, beat him in less than a minute. Buster and Danny Dooley defeated Sir Derek Williams and Brian Jeffries. After the match, the Dooley Brothers were brutally attacked by Williams and Jeffries. A rematch will take place on January 21st in Erwin, Tennessee. Jeff Castro and Aden Cross defeated Christian Cross to become the new East Tennessee Tag Team Champions This is where the confusion begins. Going into the match, Jeff Castro had claimed that he would have a mystery partner. When he came to the ring without one, it looked like he would be wrestling the match alone. However, it was soon revealed that Aden Cross had turned on his own brother and would be Castro's partner. Christian Cross was forced to lay down, due to not wanting to fight his brother. Rickey Dooley defeated "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau w/Judas the Mad Hatter in a No Disqualification Match to retain the East Tennessee Title In order to give "The Voodoo Prince" an advantage, Judas the Mad Hatter demanded that the referee be replaced with General Kazimir. In the middle of the match, the Sultan ran to ring. He started to go toward Rickey Dooley, but then turned around and attacked Robert Laveau. Post-match, Kazimir stated that the Sultan helped Rickey Dooley retain the East Tennessee Title because he was not given the title shot that he was owed, and wanted to beat Rickey Dooley when he ws given the title shot. Judas then said that the Sultan would receive a rematch at the School of Morton on February 5th, which will be a Devil's Playground Match. As of now, it is unclear to us what a Devil's Playground Match is. We will provide an update when we know more about the subject. When the Sultan and Dooley had both left the ring, Judas demanded that Laveau be given another match. "The Blackanese Assassin" Menace defeated "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau w/Judas the Mad Hatter The challenge made by Judas the Mad Hatter was answered by Menace. In the closing moments of the match, Menace sent Judas the Mad Hatter off the apron into the chairs in the front row. When Laveau went to check on Judas, Menace took advantage of the distraction. Christian Cross defeated Draco to become the new X Division Champion If you weren't confused yet, you will be now. Draco was supposed to defend the X Division Title against Christian Taylor. However, Taylor was unable to make it to the show. Draco made an open challenge for someone to take Taylor's place. Christian Cross answered the challenge. The match was made a Two out of Three Falls Match. Right before the match began, John Castro came to ringside. After Draco and Cross had wrestled for a few minutes, Castro got closer to the ring. Both the referee and Draco were distracted. In an uncharacteristic move, Christian Cross threw the X Division Title to Draco and then fell. The referee turned around to see Draco holding the title and Cross down on the mat. He thought that Draco has hit Cross with the title, so he disqualified Draco. Draco won the second fall with a Cartel Cutter. Moments before the third fall took place, Draco missed a kick and inadvertently hit the referee. John Castro jumped into the ring and gave Draco a Spear. Cross pinned him to win the match and the X Division Title. Post-match, Aden Cross and Jeff Castro came to the ring. It appeared that they were about to face off with Christian Cross and John Castro. Suddenly, all four men attacked Draco. They then said that they were sick of being held back by Ricky Morton, and are taking over the SOM. From this point forward, their stable will apparently be known as Bad Boys Incorporated (BB Inc.). Jake "Hound Dog" Allen defeated Gabezilla to become the number one contender for the SOM Youth Title Judas the Mad Hatter, who was incredibly able to walk after falling from the ring apron, declared that Jake Allen's title shot would take place immediately. Jake "Hound Dog" Allen defeated Jungle Boy to become the new SOM Youth Champion Even with the odds stacked against him, the "Hound Dog" did what no one thought was possible and defeated Jungle Boy to win the SOM Youth Title. Confused? So are we. As previously stated, we have no idea exactly what happened at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune. However, we do know that it will change the face the School of Morton. We are currently working to find more details regarding the events that took place and will publish them when we know more about what happened. Make sure to check this website and our FaceBook page more more details and upadtes. Don't forget about our upcoming shows on January 21st in Erwin, Tennessee and February 5th in Chuckey, Tennessee. Mark January 8th, 2017 on your calendars, fans. You will not regret it! Recently, we sat down with General Kazimir to learn more about him and his client, former East Tennessee champion, the Sultan. Below is a transcrition of the interview.
Q: General Kazimir, can you give us some background information about yourself and tell us how you became acquainted with the Sultan? A: I hail from the greatest country in the world, Russia. There, my family will accept nothing but the best. We live in the best houses. We drive the best cars. We do not deal with anything that is not truly great. I first saw the Sultan when my family was looking for a new investment in the sport of professional wrestling. I had searched all corners of the world. Not one person was good enough to live up to my standards. I had almost given up my search for someone worthy of being represented by myself when I received a call from a man named Prince Malik. He said that he was having issues staying in the United States and was being deported. He said that he was in possesion of the contract of the greatest new talent in professional wrestling, the Sultan. I was intrigued. I was on the first flight to America. When I first met the Sultan, I knew that he would go on to do great things. I immediately bought his contract from Prince Malik and ever since that day, I have given him the guidance that he needs. Q: Do you have anything that you want to say about the Sultan's loss of the East Tennessee Title to Rickey Dooley last month? A: It was a fluke! Rickey Dooley is nothing but a redneck piece of trash and he never will be anything but a redneck piece of trash! Just because he got lucky and beat the Sultan once, it does not mean that he is a champion! Q: Judas the Mad Hatter has stated that while he is in control of the SOM, when a champion loses their title, they will not be given an automatic rematch. Therefore, the Sultan will not receive a rematch against Rickey Dooley for the East Tennessee Title at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune on January 8th, 2016. What are your thoughts on the matter? A: When Judas the Mad Hatter gained control of the School of Morton, I thought that there was someone who would finally treat the Sultan fairly. Obviously, for once in my life, I was wrong! Instead of giving the Sultan the rematch that he rightfully deserves, Judas gives Robert Laveau a title shot. What has Robaer Laveau done? He hasn't done anything important in the SOM in the last year. He may have been the first ever East Tennessee Champion, but he hasn't been relevent since then. Whether Judas likes it or not, my Sultan will reclaim the title that rightfully belongs to him! Q: At New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune on January 8th, 2016, the Sultan will take on the Scorpion. Do you have anything to say to the Scorpion? A: I have nothing to say to the Scorpion. He is not worthy of any kind of response. He has never beat anyone or did anything in the SOM. He is not worthy of being in the same ring as the Sultan. Judas the Mad Hatter says that he will give opportunities to wrestlers who have previously been held down. Maybe he should worry about giving opportunities to people who deserve them like the Sultan. Just to show Judas what an angry Sultan will do, an example will be made out of the Scorpion. Q: If the Sultan does not get an East Tennessee Title shot in the future, do you have any other plans for what he might do? A: The Sultan will become the East Tennnessee Champion again. I don't care if he has to jump in the ring, beat Rickey Dooley senseless, take the title, and then knock Judas the Mad Hatter out on his way out, it will happen. If he wanted to, he could take any other title in the SOM. There is not one wrestler in the SOM who is supposed to be a champion that could beat the Sultan. If he wanted to, he could take the SOMWA Title from Maverick. If he wanted to, he could take the X Division Title from Draco. If he wanted to, he could beat both Cross Brothers and take the East Tennessee Tag Team Titles by himself. The Sultan is the greatest wrestler in the SOM today, and that will not change anytime soon. I've said what I needede to say. This interview is over. Not much is known about Robert Laveau. We have been able to gather that he is from New Orleans, where many of the most evil people who practice the dark art of Voodoo are located. He claims to be a direct descendent of Marie Laveau, who was known as "The Voodoo Queen of New Orleans."
In 2014, he departed his hometown of New Orleans for Chuckey, Tennessee in order to become a professional wrestler, under the guidance of Ricky Morton. When he left New Orleans, he had also planned on leaving his Voodoo roots behind. He began his career under the name Rick Savage. Rick Savage was not very successful until he met Judas the Mad Hatter. Judas convinced him that if he wanted to be successful, he would have to unleash the darkness within him and embrace his true identity as "The Voodoo Prince." At A New Era 2015, Laveau, under the guidance of Judas, won a tournament to become the first ever East Tennessee Champion. Laveau was a dominant champion for several months until he was defeated by John Castro. He would then go on to defeat Jerry Sampson for the SPCW Title, which he lost to Rickey Dooley at the Paul Morton Cup 2016. Since losing the SPCW Title, he has has proved to be on of the toughest wrestlers in the SOM. He has dominated the ranks of the SOM. When the Family fell apart, Judas the Mad Hatter chose Laveau to be his only client. Things definitely look bright for Laveau's future. On January 8th, 2016, at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, Laveau will receive a shot at Rickey Dooley's East Tennessee Title. Judas, as the new SOM owner, has already manipulated the match in Laveau's favor by making it a No Disqualification match. "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau has proved to be one of the greatest wrestlers to step in an SOM ring. It appears that his success may continue for a long time. From the office of Judas the Mad Hatter:
"It has come to my attention that the Ricky Morton's puppet, Bobby Branham has released the official card for New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune on January 8th, 2016. Since Ricky Morton and Bobby Branham have obviously forgot that I am the man who runs this place now, I've decided to make a few improvements.
-Judas the Mad Hatter, SOM Owner" At Christmas Krunch II, Judas the Mad Hatter gained control of the School of Morton. For that reason, December 4th, 2016, will go down in history as one of the darkest days in the history of the SOM. However, what may be remembered as one of the greatest moments in SOM history happened that night too. Rickey Dooley became the first ever SOM Triple Crown Champion. In honor of Rickey's championship win, this article will detail his career here in the School of Morton.
In March 2014, the School of Morton opened its doors to the next generation of professional wrestlers. On the first day that the SOM opened, no one showed up. The next week, no one showed up. This cycle continued for several weeks until the SOM's first ever trainee walked in the door. His name was Rickey Dooley. For many months, Rickey trained hard and proved to be one of the toughest and most hard working students in the School of Morton. Eventually, he was ready for his first match. For over a year, he competed in the SOM under the alias Rick Razor. To say the least, he was not very successful.n That all changed in September of 2015 at Fair Warning. On that day, the Dooley Brothers debuted in the SOM. Rickey, who had now embraced his East Tennessee heritage and the Dooley name, stood alongside his brother, Buster, and half-brother, Brian. For several months, Rickey, Buster, and Brian were one of the most dominant teams in the SOM. Then, Brian walked out on his brothers and formed an alliance with their cousin, Randy Roberts. After several months of fighting with Brian, who had adopted the name Brian Jeffries, and Roberts, Rickey and Buster returned to the East Tennessee Tag Team Title scene. At Winter Warfare, they became the new East Tennnessee Tag Team Champions. They held the title for several months until they were stripped of them due to Buster being injured and out of action for several months. Rickey then decided to go into singles competition. He entered the X Division. Soon, he was on the hunt for the X Division Title. He would go on to win the X Division Title and trade it back and forth with Draco several times. He then decided that he was ready to go for the biggest prize in the SOM, the East Tennessee Title. Several months ago, Rickey began his quest for the East Tennessee Title. He wrestled the Sultan several times, but came up short each time due to interference from the Sultan's new manager, General Kazimir. He then enlisted the help of Buster and their youngest brother Danny to deal with the General at Christmas Krunch II. There, Rickey Dooley won the East Tennessee Title and reserved his place as one of the greatest wrestlers in School of Morton history. December 4th, 2016 will go down in School of Morton history as the darkest day ever in SOM history. That day, we all found out that Judas the Mad Hatter had acquired control of the School of Morton. Earlier today, we reached out to Ricky Morton in hopes of getting a statement regarding Judas' acquisition of the SOM. Morton said:
"At Christmas Krunch II, we all found out that Judas the Mad Hatter was in control of the School of Morton. I would like to promise each and every one of my fans that this won't last much longer. The School of Morton is called the School of Morton for a reason. It belongs to me. I don't know how, but I'm going to take my wrestling school back for all of my great fans." As you can tell from the statement, Ricky Morton plans on getting control of the SOM again. We were told by an inside source that legal experts are currently examining the document that gives Judas control of the SOM in order to determine whether or not it is iron clad. When more details are known, an update will be provided. We have been infored that former NWA World Champion Harley Race has been checked into a nursing home. We would like to wish Harley a speedy recovery and ask everyone to keep him in their thoughts.
On January 8th at the School of Morton, we hope that you'll join us to kick 2017 off with a bang! Here is a look at the card for the night:
SOM Youth Title Match: Jungle Boy (c) vs. "Hound Dog" Jake Allen vs. Gabezilla The Jungle Boy has been a dominant champion and is yet to lose a match in the SOM, but at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, he will take on two competitors. Will he walk away with the SOM Youth Title or will he finally be dethroned? Chris Jackson and Jake Miller vs. David Lee Rock and BTSG This will definitely be an unusual match, as Jackson and Miller have been locked in a rivalry with each other for over a year now. The new owner of the SOM, Judas the Mad Hatter, proclaimed that the Street Fight between Jackson and Miller would be the culmination of their rivalry. He then announced this match for New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune. Will they be able to co-exist in order to win the match? Grudge Match: Sir Derek Williams and Brian Jeffries w/General Kazimir vs. Danny and Buster Dooley Last month after their match, Sir Derek Williams viciously attacked Danny Dooley. Now, he has enlisted the help of another wrestler who has had problems with the Dooley family, Brian Jeffries in order to take out two of the three Dooleys. Will Jeffries and Williams put an end to the Dooley legacy? Find out on January 8th at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune. Elliott Russell vs. Hank "The Machine" Miller Last month, Hank Miller pinned the X Division Champion, Draco. If not for Judas the Mad Hatter reversing the decision, Miller would be the X Division Champion. At New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, "The Machine" looks to take out his anger on Elliott Russell. The SOM Debut of Menace On January 8th at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, a top star on the East Tennessee independent scene, Menace, will debut at the SOM. His opponent is yet to be announced. X Division Title Match: Draco (c) vs. Christian Taylor At Christmas Krunch II, Christian Taylor defeated Barrett Stout to become the number one contender for the X Division Title. Will his streak of dominance continue when he faces the X Divison Champion, Draco? East Tennessee Tag Team Title Match: Jeff Castro and Mystery Partner vs. Aden and Christian Cross (c) At Christmas Krunch II, John and Jeff Castro lost their East Tennessee Tag Team Titles to the Cross Brothers. Some say that the win was a fluke, as John Castro left the ring in the middle of the match when provoked by Draco. At New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune, Jeff Castro vows to find a new partner who can help him reclaim the East Tennessee Tag Team Titles. SOMWA Title Match: Maverick (c) vs. Barrett Stout Last month, while Barrett Stout didn't beat Christian Taylor to become the number one contender for the X Division Title, but he did impress Judas the Mad Hatter, who decided to give him a SOMWA Title shot at New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune. Barrett Stout will be going into this match as a true underdog. Will he accomplish the unthinkable act of taking Maverick's SOMWA Title? Find out on January 8th. East Tennessee Title Match: "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau vs. Rickey Dooley (c) At Christmas Krunch II, Rickey Dooley did what no one thought he could do and defeated the Sultan to become the new East Tennessee Champion. In his first title defense, he will face one of the toughest wrestlers in the School of Morton, "The Voodoo Prince" Robert Laveau. Laveau is the only remaining client of Judas the Mad Hatter and was given this title shot by Judas. Clearly, Judas wants his man to hold the East Tennessee Title, and has the ability to adjust the match into Laveau's favor. Will Laveau, the first ever East Tennessee Champion, reclaim the title that he once held? In order to find out more about Judas the Mad Hatter's purchase of the School of Morton, we sat down to interview Judas. The transcript is published below.
Q: Judas, how did you become the owner of the School of Morton? A: When Ricky Morton had his puppet commissioner Bobby Branham suspend me a few months ago, I told him that I'd be back and I'd have my revenge, and that's exactly what I'm doing. For a few months, I ran my business endeavors from home. I watched from afar, and I observed very closely. I saw that on December 2nd, the lease that Ricky Morton had on the building would run out. I sat there and waited. I bided my time until December 2nd. I personally went down to Chuckey, Tennessee, and I talked to the landlord. I offered that stupid hillbilly more money that he's ever seen in his life, and now, the School of Morton belongs to me. Q: What do you plan on doing as owner of the School of Morton? A: It wouldn't be very fun if you found out now, would it? I've got big plans and you're going to find out what they are very soon, but only when I'm ready for you to. However, I do want to say that things are going to change. I'm not like that pushover, Bobby Branham. I will rule the School of Morton with an iron fist, and no one will tell me what to do! Q: Do you have anything to say to any wrestlers in the SOM? A: Some of them have stood by my side. Others have opposed me. Anyone who has helped me will be rewarded. Anyone who has tried to stop me in my path to greatness will be punished. Q: We recently ran an article on the end of your stable, the Family. Do you have anything you would like to say about the death of the Family? A: I was sick of dealing with all of them. The Family was not worth the trouble they caused me. I'm done worrying about them and trying to fix their problems. I've moved on to bigger and better things. Q: Even though you have had the opportunity to fire him, you have kept Bobby Branham in his position as Commissioner. Why? A: They say, "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer." I could have fired Bobby Branham, but that wouldn't make this as fun. Bobby Branham was Ricky Morton's puppet, but now, I get to make him my puppet. He works for me now. He has to do whatever I want him to. As a matter of fact, everyone in that locker room works for me. I own this place, and everything in it. Q: On January 8th, 2017, there will be a show at the School of Morton, "New Year's Wrestlelution: The Hat of Misfortune." Of course, part of the title, the "Hat of Misfortune," refers to you. How will this show be different than previous SOM shows? A: Are you people sick and tired of seeing the same old stuff month after month? Blame Bobby Branham. My School of Morton will be a new School of Morton. You already saw all of the changes at Christmas Krunch II on December 4th. I promise that this show will be even better. The School of Morton as you know it is about to change. 2017 will bring a new year, and a new School of Morton. If you people want to see or hear more of me, you'll have to show up and pay your five dollars, because this interview is over! We never believed that we would be writing about something like this, but there is a new owner here at the School of Morton, and his name is Judas the Mad Hatter. Little is known about how or why this happened, but what little details are known are published below.
On December 2nd, 2016, several days before Christmas Krunch II, the lease on the School of Morton ran out. From what we could conclude, Ricky Morton was unaware of this. However, Judas the Mad Hatter was. The next day, whenever Ricky Morton spoke to the landlord to renew the lease, he was informed that it had already been paid. Apparently, Morton thought that his business partner had taken care of it. He planned to run the December 4th event as planned. At the beginning of the show, Morton went to the ring to address the fans. He was interrupted by someone who he thought he wouldn't be seeing for a long time, Judas the Mad Hatter. Morton was informed that Judas' name was now on the SOM lease and that if the School of Morton was going to continue, he was going to run it. Morton begrudgingly accepted the terms. We are not sure how long Judas will remain in power, or how Ricky Morton will handle the situation, but one thing is clear. As long as Judas the Mad Hatter is in charge, no one is safe. Over the last few months, a storm has been brewing here at the School of Morton. Judas the Mad Hatter's stable, The Family, has been falling apart. As of December 4th, 2016, we can officially state that the stable which once dominated the SOM is no more.
At Chrismas Krunch II, John and Jeff Castro and Draco were making their way to the ring like a unit. Everything seemed to be going fine until John Castro pulled out a chair at ringside and told Draco to sit down and not get involved in the match. If Jeff Castro had not intervened, there could have been a fight between the two at that moment. After several minutes of arguing, Draco took his ringside seat and the Castro Brothers got in the ring to begin the match. Things seemed to be going good for the Castro Brothers. They had taken over the match and looked as if they were close to beating Aden and Christian Cross. Then, the match spilled to ringside, where John Castro and Draco started having another disagreement. Jeff Castro was too busy in the ring to seperate them this time. The disagreement resulted in a fight between Castro and Draco, which spilled backstage. Jeff Castro was left in the ring by himself with both Cross Brothers. He fought with everything he could, but was eventually defeated. Meanwhile, backstage, John Castro and Draco were being seperated by the rest of the locker room. After the show ended, we caught up with Judas the Mad Hatter. We expected an excuse from Judas saying that there was nothing wrong with the Family. In a surprising turn of events, Judas said, "As far as I'm concerned, there is no Family any more. I've been trying to solve whatever problems the Castro Brothers and Draco have with each other, but now I'm done. Those idiots can kill each other for all I care! I've moved on to bigger and better things. I've bought the lease on this dump that you people know as the School of Morton, and now, Ricky Morton answers to me." The Family is officialy done, but there are still many questions left unanswered. Who will the Cross Brothers face next? What does Judas the Mad Hatter have planned as owner of the SOM? What will happen between John Castro and Draco? An update will be provided when more details are known. Chris Jackson defeated Jake Miller in a Street Fight.
Elliott Russell defeated Axton Ray. Jungle Boy defeated "Hound Dog" Jake Allen to retain the SOM Youth Title. Buster Dooley defeated Brian Jeffries. Hank "The Machine" Miller defeated Draco to become the new X Division Champion. However, the new owner of the SOM, Judas the Mad Hatter reversed the decision after the match, declaring that Draco is still the X Division Champion. Christian Taylor defeated Barrett Stout to become the number one contender for the X Division Title. Sir Derek Williams defeated Danny Dooley in a Loser Eats Dog Food Match. Post-match. Dooley was forced to eat the dog food, and in a surprising turn of events, liked it. A frustrated Williams viciously attacked Dooley, leading to his brothers, Rickey and Buster, saving him. Maverick defeated David Lee Rock, Chris Jackson, and BTSG in a gauntlet match to retain the SOMWA Title. Aden and Christian Cross defeated John and Jeff Castro to become the new East Tennessee Tag Team Champions. In the middle of the match, Draco attacked John Castro, signifying the end of Los Chicanos. Rickey Dooley defeated The Sultan to become the new East Tennessee Champion. |
